Macrocybe lobayensis

General description: 

Cap: Fleshy, convex to applanate, white to cream, occasionally spotted, smooth, cracking with age, margin lobate, inrolled becoming outturned.
Stipe: Thick, cylindrical or having a swollen base, solid, same colour as cap or ochreous or pale grey.
Lamellae: Adnex to adnate to sinuate, cream with pale pink tint, moderately crowded, intermediate lengths.
Flesh: White, firm, mushroom odour.
Spore print: Hyaline spores.

Associations: 

Occurs in grasslands

Distribution: 

In South Africa, thusfar known from Pretoria, lower Kruger Park area, Northern KwaZulu-Natal area.
